Miles for Media Challenge
Dean Andrea Hickerson and Associate Director of Development Sloane Reid are lacing up their sneakers for a one-of-a-kind Giving Day challenge! Mattei Foundation Challenge for the Student Media Center
The Mattei Foundation, led by Ashley Anderson (BA 1997) and Scott Mattei of Charlotte, North Carolina, has made a generous pledge to the Student Media Center. As an Ole Miss student, Ashley was a proud member of NewsWatch and served as the station manager for Rebel Radio. In Charlotte, she is a longtime reporter, anchor and producer for WCCB-TV and remains dedicated to the power of journalism and journalism education. The Mattei Foundation's generous gift launches a campaign to bring new energy, resources and investment in the Student Media Center. Corbus Challenge for IMC's Magnolia Blues Agency in the School of Journalism and New Media
Liz Corbus (BS 2017) of Austin, Texas, has a wonderful career in marketing, and she wants to give back to Integrated Marketing Communications students. School of Journalism and New Media students lead a marketing agency called Magnolia Blues Agency. Students work with companies to gain real-world experience, working day to day with clients and building a strong portfolio. Flagship Society Graduation Honor Cord
May 2026 graduates will have the opportunity to join the Flagship Society, the prestigious annual giving recognition group at Ole Miss, for a gift of just $26 to any campus cause. Members receive a graduation honor cord in recognition of your Giving Day gift.
To be eligible for this honor cord, a gift must be made by a student using their olemiss.edu email address! Flagship graduates will be able to pick up their cords in front of the Union and will receive an email with specific details, dates and times.

Dethrow Challenge for Sports Journalism and New Media
Sam Dethrow (BS 2019) of Dallas, Texas, has made his career in real estate private equity. But when he was an IMC student at Ole Miss, he was an account executive for the Daily Mississippian, selling ad space to local businesses.
