Harmon Challenge for the Future of the SMBHC
Dr. Patrice Jones Harmon (BA 2007, DMD 2011) and Mark Harmon of Richmond, Virginia, know the power of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. Patrice was an SMBHC graduate and believes her experiences there helped her jumpstart a successful career in endodontics. The Harmons are giving $25,000 to inspire a new generation of SMBHC donors. For every 25 gifts that are made to the Honors College, $5,000 will be unlocked. Let's work together to unlock the full power of the Harmons' gift!

During the Chancellor’s Leaderboard competition from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (CST) Wednesday, schools, academic units and groups compete to attract the largest number of gifts. Emily Boyce and Chancellor Glenn F. Boyce will contribute $2,500 to the winning area, so gifts made during this time can have an even bigger impact!

Flagship Society Graduation Honor Cord
May 2026 graduates will have the opportunity to join the Flagship Society, the prestigious annual giving recognition group at Ole Miss, for a gift of just $26 to any campus cause. Members receive a graduation honor cord in recognition of your Giving Day gift. To be eligible for this honor cord, a gift must be made by a student using their olemiss.edu email address! Flagship graduates will be able to pick up their cords in front of the Union and will receive an email with specific details, dates and times.

SMBHC Parents Challenge
An anonymous donor who graduated from the Honors Program just before the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College launched is now the parent of one SMBHC student with another beginning this fall. She and her husband are are affirming their commitment to the future of the Honors College with a $2,500 gift. They want to encourage parents to give in honor of their students and the incredible experiences provided to them through the SMBHC. When 25 people give to the honors college, their gift will be unlocked!
