Challenge for the Richard Raspet Memorial Scholarship
Wendy Garrison (PhD 1997), a former faculty member of the Biology Department, is honoring her late husband Richard Raspet (MS 1973, PhD 1975) by establishing a scholarship that gives students from the Mississippi Delta graduating from public schools an opportunity to obtain a transformative higher education at Ole Miss. Raspet, who had been a professor at UM's National Center for Physical Acoustics, believed in encouraging students from economically challenged regions to follow their academic dreams. For every 10 gifts that are made to this scholarship, $10,000 is unlocked to add to the endowment's total, up to $50,000. Make a difference for Mississippi students!
