Ole Miss Giving Day

Giving Day is an online fundraising event that brings together alumni, parents, friends and Rebel fans from all over the world to make a difference at the University of Mississippi. Giving Day is a celebration of philanthropy that lasts 1 day, 8 hours and 48 minutes in honor of our founding year, 1848. 

Your gift goes further on Giving Day! Maximize your support by helping unlock challenge funds or have your gift doubled by participating in a matching gift initiative. Today, gifts of all sizes come together to make a powerful impact on Ole Miss.

Want to make a gift that keeps on giving? Consider making your gift monthly! Not only will you have a lasting impact on the areas of campus that mean the most to you, but we will also send you a lapel pin to reflect your Ole Miss spirit.

Matching and challenge gifts are special types of donations that amplify your support! A matching gift is when a donor offers to match your support dollar-for-dollar up to a certain amount. A challenge gift is similar, but this type of donation is made only if a specific number of people step up to support a certain fund. Giving Day Influencers are individuals who have signed up to be a part of this celebration of philanthropy and help promote it to their networks. Influencers play a huge role in driving awareness, enthusiasm and support for Giving Day.

The “You + 2” program is a special initiative for Giving Day Influencers that encourages them to invite two of their friends and family members to make a gift. By participating in You + 2, influencers help amplify their impact and bring about an even bigger difference on Giving Day!

One hundred percent of your gift goes directly where you designate it: your college, school or any areas you are passionate about within Ole Miss (such as undergraduate scholarships, the Pride of the South marching band, academic or student programs – you name it). And the hourly challenge funds? Colleges, schools and units winning the challenges will receive bonus gifts to help address their greatest needs.
