University Libraries
Your generosity today empowers tomorrow!

Dr. Ann Abadie, associate director emerita of the Center for the Study of Southern Culture, was an ardent supporter of the UM libraries. For decades, she was a leading member of the Friends of the Library, an organization that she supported through quiet advocacy, watchful recruiting and consistent giving. Ann was adept at building community around her causes, and the Friends of the Library was one of her principal communities for nearly 50 years.

Please join the Friends of the Library by making a gift in Dr. Ann Abadie’s honor. Your donation will help expand our library’s collection and create a new reading nook for students. Displayed in this area will be books published by the UM community  —  and the many books edited or supported by Dr. Ann Abadie. Her portrait will hang nearby. The Friends of the Library remembers Dr. Ann Abadie for her dedicated leadership, and we celebrate her legacy. Join us by making a gift today.

Participate in one of the challenges or matching gift opportunities below to maximize your impact. Every gift matters.
