School of Journalism and New Media

This is for Now. This is for Ever. This is for the School of Journalism and New Media.

For Student Success and Servant Leaders

The mission of the School of Journalism and New Media is to lead and excel in the education of a diverse body of journalism and integrated marketing communications students.

Building on a strong journalism program, the School of Journalism and New Media was established in 2009 to prepare students to succeed in an ever-changing, integrated, and global media landscape. Today, our alumni are employed by Netflix, TikTok, ESPN, The New York Times, “60 Minutes,” Apple News, Southern Living, and local news outlets across the nation.

With your support, we will build on our legacy of journalism, branding, media, and innovation by providing student scholarships and fellowships, funding for international conferences and symposiums, and investments in faculty, new technology, dynamic learning spaces, and research.

Your gift goes further on Giving Day! Several members of the Ole Miss Family are challenging you to make a difference in the lives of Journalism students. Maximize your impact by answering these challenges and helping us unlock critical resources. Your gift - no matter the size - makes a difference.

It’s easy to give! Ole Miss Giving Day accepts Apple Pay, Venmo, PayPal, and all major credit cards.
