Ole Miss Giving Day

On Ole Miss Giving Day, alumni, parents, friends, and Rebel fans all over the world come together to make a difference in the Ole Miss community. Giving Day is a celebration of philanthropy that lasts for 1 day, 8 hours, and 48 minutes in honor of our founding year, 1848.  All gifts made between  April 11 at 9 a.m.CST and April 12 at 5:48 p.m. CST will count towards Giving Day! 

On April 11 and 12, your contribution has an even bigger impact than usual, thanks to a handful of generous supporters who will be providing challenge funds. By making your gift, you can help your favorite areas of Ole Miss win these challenge funds. Throughout the day, leaderboards will show progress in real time, and hourly challenges and games will enhance the fun and suspense.

One hundred percent of your gift goes directly where you designate it: your College or School or any area you are passionate about within Ole Miss (such as undergraduate scholarships, athletics, a campus community—you name it). And the hourly challenge funds? Colleges, Schools and units that win the hourly challenges will receive bonus gifts that will support that area's annual fund.

Yes. If it is your first gift this fiscal year, your gift on Ole Miss Giving Day will be counted towards the annual giving participation rate, as well as your Flagship Society membership. If you have already given this year, thank you for your gift! We encourage you to be a part of Ole Miss Giving Day and support what you are passionate about at Ole Miss. Only gifts made on April 11 and 12 count towards the totals that can unlock challenge funds for the college/unit and class challenges. Your additional gift will inspire others to give as well.

Matches set up for Ole Miss Giving Day amplify the impact of your gift, and are a great way to secure even more support for the areas you love most. They do not, however, count toward your personal giving record.

There are so many ways to show your Rebel spirit on Giving Day. You can spread the word about Giving Day as an Ole Miss Giving Day ambassador. Post  across your social media channels using the #OleMissGivingDay hashtag and make an even bigger impact. 

Gifts to academic schools, colleges, and units are 100 percent tax deductible. Gifts made to support athletics on Giving Day are 90 percent tax deductible and earn blue athletic priority points.

Our payment methods are secure, and the information collected during Ole Miss Giving Day will be used only by the University of Mississippi. While we encourage giving online or by phone on April 11 and 12, gifts by mail intended for Ole Miss Giving Day must be dated by April 12 to be included in the day’s total.
