Support the School of Law as it grows future leaders.

As Mississippi’s flagship law school, we have educated judges, governors, bar leaders, state legislators, mayors, business leaders and advocates for the underserved. And we continue to produce leaders.

Today, you can invest in School of Law scholarships, legal clinics and faculty support to help transform students’ lives and our society. The continued demand for strong, committed lawyers is a nationwide need; there are shortages of attorneys in rural communities across the country.

We are proud of the strong educational opportunities we offer including:

  • Our skills training program is the perfect accompaniment to a traditional core curriculum. Students have access to a semester-long in-house clinical experience in one of our 10 live-client clinics, with practice units ranging from litigation and mediation to appellate work.
  • In addition to our clinical programs, students have the chance to be involved with our advocacy program, which has won 15 National Championships in the past five years.
  • We also offer a competitive externship program that provides students the opportunity to gain experience outside the classroom. For example, 10 first-year law students will have the opportunity this summer to work in the general counsel offices and other departments of some of the nation’s leading companies in our Business Law Fellowship program. The companies include FedEx, C Spire, Sanderson Farms, Ingalls Shipbuilding, Yates Construction, Pfizer, Entergy Mississippi and others.
  • With more than 30 student organizations in a variety of interests and four concentration programs, there truly is something for everyone. All of this is housed in the new Robert C. Khayat Law Center.

Giving Day is the perfect time to plant a seed and watch it grow! Help the School of Law, as we dream bigger, work harder and give more. This is an all-hands-on-deck effort.

Please make a gift! Thank you!
