What is Ole Miss Giving Day?
Ole Miss Giving Day sees alumni, parents, friends and Rebel fans from all over the world come together with great enthusiasm to make a difference in the life of the University of Mississippi. Giving Day is a celebration of philanthropy that lasts 1 day, 8 hours and 48 minutes in honor of our founding year, 1848. All gifts made between April 13 at 9 a.m. CST and April 14 at 5:48 p.m. CST count toward the Giving Day total!
What makes my contribution on Giving Day special?
On April 13 and 14, your gift may have an even larger impact than usual, thanks to some generous supporters who provide challenge funds. By making your gift, you can help your favorite areas of Ole Miss win these challenge funds. Throughout the day, leaderboards will show progress in real time, and hourly challenges and games will enhance the fun and suspense.
Where does my gift go and where do the challenge funds go?
One hundred percent of your gift goes directly where you designate it: your college, school or any area you are passionate about within Ole Miss (such as undergraduate scholarships, athletics, Pride of the South Band, programs – you name it). And the hourly challenge funds? Colleges, schools and units winning the hourly challenges will receive bonus gifts that can address their greatest needs.
Does my gift count towards my annual giving?
YES! If your donation on Giving Day is your first gift of this fiscal year, your contribution counts toward the annual giving participation rate, as well as your Flagship Society membership. If you already have given this year, thank you for your gift! We still encourage you to join in Ole Miss Giving Day and support the area of Ole Miss that means the most to you. Only gifts made on April 13 and 14 count toward the totals that unlock challenge funds for the college/unit and class challenges. Your additional gift can inspire others to give as well.

Matches set up for Ole Miss Giving Day amplify the impact of your gift and provide a great way to secure even more support for the areas you love most.

There are so many ways to show your Rebel spirit on Giving Day. You can spread the word about Giving Day as an Ole Miss Giving Day Influencer. By posting across your social media channels using the #OleMissGivingDay hashtag, you can make an even bigger impact.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Gifts to academic schools, colleges and units are 100% tax deductible. Gifts made to support athletics on Giving Day are 90% tax deductible and earn blue athletic priority points.
How can I make my gift securely on Ole Miss Giving Day?
On April 13 and 14, you can make your gift from anywhere in the world in one of two ways:
Visit https://givingday.olemiss.edu and click on the “Give Now” button between April 13 at 9 a.m. and April 14 at 5:48 p.m.
Call us toll free at 1.800.340.9542 and speak to one of our representatives between 6 a.m. and 11:59 p.m.
Our payment methods are secure, and information collected during Ole Miss Giving Day will be used only by the university. While we encourage giving online or by phone on April 13 and 14, gifts by mail intended for Ole Miss Giving Day must be postmarked by April 14 to be included in the day’s total. Please mail your check, along with a note directing the funds, to:
